Francesco Decarolis


An economist with expertise in Applied Microeconomics, he is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of Bocconi University, where he holds the Giovanni Agnelli Chair.

As an expert in the analysis of the competitive structure of markets, he has worked with the European Commission - DG for Competition, the Italian Antitrust Authority and private sector organisations including FCA and Microsoft.

His past roles include economist at the Bank of Italy’s research department and Lecturer in Economics at Boston University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin Madison and Visiting Professor at the Universities of Chicago, Stanford and Columbia.

His academic research has been published in the most important international scientific journals.
