He has held managerial roles in major International Business Banks with a focus on capital markets in Asia and emerging economies. His experience in Citic Securities (main State Bank of China) was significant, where as head of the international M&A team, he enjoyed some of the most important cross-border transactions. He has lived in Hong Kong for about 15 years.
Roberta Casali is the Vice President for Finance and Risk Management of the Asian Development Bank since January 2022. Previously, she had more than 30 years of executive experience at the Bank of Italy, Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, and served on boards of listed and private companies as an independent chair and non-executive director.
She has been writing about China since 2003, she had the privilege as foreign correspondent for Il Sole 24 Ore in Beijing, of witnessing the rise and changes of the era of the president Xi Jinping. For Il Sole 24 Ore he has written the investigative books Navi delle false griffe and Oltre la Muraglia.
Professor Yang WANG is a Chair Professor in Mathematics at HKUST. He served as Vice-President for Institutional Advancement and has published over 150 research papers. He cofounded the HKUST Big Data Institute and promotes AI and Web3 education in Hong Kong.
