Andrew Spannaus provides commentary on U.S. politics and global strategic relations for Radio24, Rainews24 and various magazines. He is a lecturer at the graduate school ASERI of the Catholic University of Milan, and has served multiple times as the Chairman of the Milan Foreign Press Association.
Named after the Trentino irredentist Cesare Battisti, this city piazza is different from others. Its buildings are a 1926 Rationalist reconstruction of the historic, demolished Sas district. Beneath the square lies the ancient Roman Tridentum, an entire Roman district with the remains of a road, houses featuring mosaics, and even a long stretch of the eastern city wall.
