Maria Cannata

Chairwoman - MTS

Maria Cannata, graduated in mathematics, is now chairwoman of MTS S.p.A. (trading platform for govies), advisor of the Italian Treasury and board member of CDP S.p.A. She entered the Treasury in 1980. Between 1997 and 1999 she managed the euro changeover of the Italian debt and was Head of public debt Directorate between the 2000-end and January 2018.

Economic advisor to the Prime Minister

Parliamentary Adviser to the Senate and Budget Policy Adviser to Prime Minister Meloni, has extensive experience in public economics. He served as Director of the Senate's Budget Office and is a member of technical bodies on tax reform and the shadow economy. He is the author of publications on public finance and economic policy.

Morya Longo is a financial journalist for the daily newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore since 2000. He wrote about the major Italian crack (from Cirio to Parmalat) and about all the major financial events in Italy and worldwide. Since 2008 he describes the complex dynamics of the financial markets, also as columnist. Before working for Il Sole 24 Ore, he had short experiences in the Italian office of the press agency Reuters, in the weekly newspaper Il Mondo and in Radio 24.
