Journalist at Il Sole 24 Ore, expert in education and the labour market. He worked as a lawyer for the municipality of Rome and as the regulatory director of the State Property Agency, Ministry of Economy and Finance.
He is the Italian Minister of Education since October 2022. He is Full Professor of Roman Private Law and History of Roman Public Law. As a Senator of the Italian Parliament, he has been Member of the Commission on Education, University and Research, and Member of the Constitutional and Internal Affairs Commission.
The former S.I.T. building on Via Calepina - Piazza Vittoria has been the historical headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce since 1947. In its halls this autonomous public body performs a multiplicity of functions all traceable to the common definition of market regulation.
