Born in Turin in 1977, after experiences as a freelancer and in the media, he has worked at Il Sole 24 Ore since 2007, moving from the regional sections to Finanza & Mercati, where he became Editor-in-Chief in 2017. Since 2023, he has been the Deputy Editor of Avvenire. Since 2020, he has directed the publications of the Master in Giornalismo di Torino and is among the curators of the Digital News Report Italia.

Roberto Gualtieri

Mayor of Rome Capital

(Rome, 1966) graduated in Literature and Philosophy from Sapienza University of Rome, where he is Professor of Contemporary History. Elected to the European Parliament in 2009, he chaired the ECON Committee. He served as Italy’s Minister of Economy and Finance in 2019. Since October 2021 he has been Mayor of Rome. In 2022 he was appointed Government Commissioner for the Jubilee, and in 2024 became President of Autonomie Locali per l’Italia and a member of the European Committee of the Regions.

Franco Ianeselli, 43, is mayor of Trento since September 2020. Previously, from 2015 to January 2020 he was general secretary of the Trentino CGIL. In 2014 he graduated in Sociology from the University of Trento with 110 cum laude.

Carlo Masci

Mayor of Pescara

Carlo Masci, born in Pescara in 1958, graduated in Law from Parma University and has been a lawyer since 1981. He has been involved in politics since 1994, serving as a municipal councilor and city councilor. In 2008, he was elected to the Abruzzo Region, serving as Councilor for Budget. He has been Mayor of Pescara since 2019 (52%), and was re-elected in 2026 with 55%.

Giuseppe Sala

Mayor of Milan

Born in Milan in 1958 and a graduate in Economics from Bocconi University, he worked for Pirelli and Telecom Italia. In 2009, he was appointed Director General of the Municipality of Milan. In 2010, he became the CEO of Expo 2015, and in 2013, he was named Sole Commissioner. Since June 2016, he has served as the Mayor of Milan. He is the author of several books published between 2014 and 2021.

Overlooking Piazza Dante and standing opposite Trento's train station, the building is a stone’s throw from the historic centre. This building was built between 1958-65 as part of a project by Trentino architect Adalberto Libera (1903-1963), a leading figure in Italian rationalist architecture.
