Claudio Antonelli

Deputy Editor 24Ore NextMed - Il Sole 24 Ore

Claudio Antonelli (born 1976) has served as Editor-in-Chief and subsequently Deputy Editor with responsibility for economics, finance, and the digital sector. After working at LiberoMercato and Libero, he was part of the founding team of La Verità. He is the Deputy Editor of Il Sole 24 Ore NextMed, a project by the group focused on the Enlarged Mediterranean. He is a keen observer of Africa and security issues.

Teaches International Economics at LUISS Guido Carli and Cattolica University Senior Fellow Harvard Kennedy School. Author of "Fatti non foste a viver come robot" (Utet), "Making the global economy work for everyone" (Palgrave Macmillan), "The Great Disconnect. Hopes and fears after the excess of globalization" (Bocconi Univ. Press).

Dubravka Šuica is the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean and is also responsible for Demography. A former Vice-President of the European Commission, MEP, and Mayor of Dubrovnik, she leads work on the new Pact for the Mediterranean and stronger EU ties with MENA and Gulf partners.

Director - Il Sole 24 Ore

Fabio Tamburini is editor of Il Sole 24 Ore, Radiocor, Radio 24 and editorial director of the 24 ORE Group. Previously he was deputy editor of Ansa, deputy editor of MF-Milano Finanza, correspondent of Repubblica, and editor-in-chief of Mondo. He has always dealt with finance and industrial economics. He is currently an adjunct professor at Luiss Guido Carli University.

Castello del Buonconsiglio - Sala Gerola

With marvellous frescoes and crenelated towers, Buonconsiglio is the most important castle in Trentino. Having served as the seat of the Prince-Bishops of Trent for centuries, today the castle is home to the provincial art and archaeology collections and the famous Torre Aquila, whose walls are frescoed with the renowned “Ciclo dei Mesi” (“Cycle of the Months”), an international Gothic masterpiece. A number of Festival dell’Economia events will take place in its Sala Gerola, which seats 110 people.
