The protagonists: Ensemble Cello Generation, Naomi Fujiya, pianist
The Cello Generation Ensemble was formed in Francesco Storino's class. It is composed of young competition winners, along with their teacher. They perform concerts featuring music from all eras. Artists such as Erica Piccotti and Paolo Bonomini have performed among them. The group's versatility allows it to consist of anything from four musicians to a cello orchestra, starting from 9.
Naomi Fujiya graduated with honors from Otani University in Sapporo and moved to Italy, where she earned diplomas with highest honors from Acc. Musicale Estense and Pescarese. She debuted with Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto under M° Michele Mariotti and performs internationally. She currently teaches piano in Rome.
An illustrious concert hall in a building on Via Giuseppe Verdi, which harks back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the numerous musical associations (Musikverein) once found in Ljubljana and all the way to Vienna. It is home to the Philharmonic Society of Trento, founded in 1795. It boasts a beautiful organ, dating back to 1906.
