Palazzo Sardagna, current home of the offices of the Rectorate of the University of Trento, is one of the masterpieces of Mannerism and early Baroque in Trentino. Dating from the 16th century, the building is built around a large central courtyard, the largest among those found in the city's historic buildings. From the exterior, walking through the entrance hall embellished with heraldic coats of arms, one enters the courtyard punctuated by a double order of loggias and long galleries.

Alessia Amighini (BA and M.Sc. Bocconi, PhD. Florence) is Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economic and Business Studies at the University of Piemonte Orientale (Novara, Italy) and Senior Advisor at ISPI (Milan, Italy). Previously worked as an Associate Economist at UNCTAD (Geneva, Switzerland).

Director of the Confindustria Research Department. He was adjunct professor of Public Economics at the Universities of L’Aquila and Cattolica in Milan. He served on technical committees on public expenditure, fiscal federalism, and public finance at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and at the Institute of Economic Studies and Analysis.

Stefano Schiavo is professor of economics at the University of Trento, where he also serves as director of the School of International Studies. He is a fellow at CESifo Research Network and Chercheur affilié at OFCE-SciencesPo. He holds a PhD in economics and management from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies – Pisa.

Stefano Schiavo

Economist. He served as Director General of the Bank of Italy and President of IVASS (the Institute for Insurance Supervision) from 2021 to 2026. During his career at the Bank of Italy, he served as Deputy Director General from 2013 and held senior executive positions in economic research as well as banking and financial supervision, participating in major European and international fora.

Luigi Federico Signorini

Pauline Wibaux is an Economist in the International Trade Analysis division at CEPII. Her research focuses on international trade and trade policy, particularly on the geoeconomic dimensions of globalization (trade retaliation, economic coercion). She holds a PhD from the Université Paris 1 - Panthéon Sorbonne and the Paris School of Economics. She previously worked at the International Monetary Fund as a Research officer in the Research Department.
