Chairman of the University of Trento and Chairman of Techvisory, he has been CEO of important Italian and international companies including Eni and Telecom. Chairman of the Spanish company Cellnex and Chairman of NEXI s.p.a.
He has been a journalist for Il Sole 24 Ore since 2006. A graduate in Political Economy from the Bocconi University in Milan, he began working for the newspaper Finanza & Mercati in 2002 and then moved on to the Radiocor news agency. He deals with energy, infrastructure, insurance and financial markets.
Via Belenzani, once called Contrada Larga, is the main street leading to Piazza Duomo and one of the city's most atmospheric streets, surrounded on both sides by Renaissance palaces decorated with beautiful frescoes. Palazzo Geremia, today the seat of the Trento City Council, is one of these: inside there are several rooms - beautifully frescoed and often still with their original wooden ceilings.
